I love the style of this shirt and it seems well-made. The color is not exactly as pictured -- the photo makes it look as though the tee is shades of black, white, and grey, but actually the lighter shades have pink and purple tones to them. I don't mind this, though. The reason for the mediocre rating is that in person, this shirt is extremely unflattering. The "wings" of the hem, and the fact that the bands of color follow the curve of the hem, make the wearer look extremely wide around the hip and stomach area. This is made even worse by the choice to make the ombre go from dark to light--the black on top makes the chest look small, then fading to the lighter color magnifies the midsection. Also, you must wear these only with high-waisted pants or you will show midriff because the hem of the shirt from is very high in the center (I am not even particularly tall, but could not wear this with most of my pants). I think I would still have liked this if they had just flipped the fabric in the front so the darker, slimming color was positioned over the midsection.
